  1. Dear Speechless and all One-ites in glorious attendance at the Home of His Hospitality in Marlton, NJ... that was fun! You all are fun! Riding down together was fun! Being together was fun! Leaving was not so much fun, but riding back together was fun! Being together again will be fun! I enjoy having fun together! In short... it was fun! Looking forward to when we can be together again. Paul and Kathy, thank you for being the gift from Him that you always have been, are and always will be... I am a rich man for knowing you... each of you. Your attention to detail was/is evident in every aspect of your house, home, hospitality and beautiful hearts.

All of you folks are a lot of fun!

Love and blessings to each of you...

P.S.- Paul, whitepages.com has T as your middles initial... is there something that I need to know?

  2. Yes, it was fun...and inspiring and encouraging and grow-up-ing.

As noted in an email to Paul and Kathy...they really know how to make guests feel honored, loved and filled. (Filled with pleasure, warmeth and, of course, food.)

Trader Joe on the way home was fun, too.

Being able to hear Judith's report about her visit with Eric was another great part of a truely wonderful day.

    With much love,
    Al and Ruth Ann

  3. 'Cause Judith doesn't have email (yet) I will try to surmerize her report. Feel free to add or correct, Steve, Nancy, Al.

Judith said the visit was wonderful. Eric loves the people and place where he is in rehab. She saw him to be more peaceful than he has been for a very long time. He explained his schedule and shared about the team/group of which he is a part and said that he really likes the person who leads his group. He likes the maturity and healthiness of the group members.
He is still resistant to what he calls 'Christian gods.' When he refused to go into the chapel to meditate and quiet himself. His leader asked if he would go into a mosque. He readily said that he would because "that's different."

He did ask Judith about The Shack and said that his friend Lisa is reading the copy that Judith gave her. He would like to read it too after he comes home from rehab.

He is using a daily devotional and is enjoying it.

    Areas of concern:
-His continued resistance to any part of God and Jesus Christ.
-His plan to refrain from alcohol until he is 80 yrs old. Then he plans to drink and die.

  4. To Ruth Ann's summary: Judith is still very concerned about Eric's weight. He's not gaining like she would like to see. She's hoping that will come soon.

Paul and Kathy, thank you so very much for welcoming us so warmly. You have a beautiful home and the artwork is so amazing. I just had the extra piece of cake for dessert this evening. Thanks for your loving hearts. It's so delightful to share time together with each of you.
